Privacy notice
This notice explains what happens to your video, your details and your consent when you take part in Dance While the Windows Open. It sits alongside the Model Release & Consent Form you agree to when you submit.

Who is responsible
Dance While the Windows Open is an independent music and art project run by Hamid Najafi, who also works under the name Zubin Cesar (“the Producer”, “we”). The Producer decides how the information described here is used and is the point of contact for any question or request about it.

What we collect
We only collect what you send us through the submission page. Nothing else is gathered about you.
Your submission
- Your video file, and its size, format and upload time
- Your first name or nickname
- Your email address
- Your city and country
- Your Instagram, TikTok or website link, if you choose to give one
- A description of where you were dancing, if you choose to give one
Your consent record
- The boxes you ticked and the date and time you ticked them
- The exact version and full text of the Model Release & Consent Form you agreed to (currently version 2026-09-model-release-1)
- The IP address and browser identification used at the moment of submission, kept as proof that consent was genuinely given
- Where the dancer is under 18: the name, email address and relationship of the parent or legal guardian who gave permission
We do not use advertising trackers, we do not profile visitors, and we do not sell or rent anyone’s information.
Why we use it
- To make the music video. Your footage may be reviewed, edited and combined with other contributors’ clips as set out in the Model Release & Consent Form.
- To credit you. Your first name and your city or country may be shown with your clip on this site and in the film.
- To contact you. Your email is used to reach you about your submission — for example if your clip is selected, or if we need a better copy of the file.
- To prove permission. The consent record shows which wording you agreed to and when, which is what allows the footage to be published lawfully.
The legal basis for all of this is your consent, given when you submit, together with our legitimate interest in keeping a reliable record that consent was given.
Who can see it
Your unpublished video and your details are visible only to the Producer and the small editing team working on the film. Nothing you send appears publicly unless it is deliberately selected and published.
Files and records are held on secure hosting and database services used by this website, which process the data on our instructions only. If your clip is selected, the finished music video — including your footage, first name and location — may be shown publicly on video and streaming platforms, social media, press and promotional material, as described in the consent form. Because those platforms are global, your clip may be viewed and stored outside your own country.
How long we keep it
- Submissions that are not selected are kept while the project is being edited, then deleted.
- Selected footage is kept for as long as the music video remains published.
- Consent records are kept for as long as the related footage is in use, plus a reasonable period afterwards, so we can always show that permission existed.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your submission
- Withdraw your consent for future use of your footage
- Restrict or object to a particular use
Write to hamid.najafi1330@gmail.com and we will answer within one month. As Section 7 of the consent form explains, we can stop using your clip in future edits and remove it from material we control, but we cannot recall copies of a video that has already been published and shared elsewhere. If you believe we have handled your information badly, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
A person under 18 may take part only when a parent or legal guardian completes the guardian section of the submission form and gives permission on their behalf. The guardian may withdraw that permission at any time using the contact address above, and we will remove the footage from future use.

Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. Consent already recorded stays tied to the version of the consent form that was accepted at the time.
